Additional programme/project details: The course is free, although prior booking is essential and a £5 booking fee is required which is refundable on the day. It is open to all adults who can ride a bike without falling off but would like to improve their confidence, knowledge of basic bike maintenance and roadsense. The next course is running at Cardiff Road Safety Centre between 10am and approximatly 4pm on Saturday 9th September 2006.

Additional programme/project details: If you are interested in running the Young Lifesaver Scheme in your school in order to start the Scheme you will need to purchase a revised Teachers’ Guide; choose from the Junior Lifesaver Teachers’ Guide for pupils aged between 7-11years old, or the Senior Lifesaver Teachers’ Guide for pupils aged 11-16 years (Guides available in English or Welsh). You will also require a current First Aid Manual and will need to have access to the following items: o Wipe board or a Flipchart with pens o Blankets/rugs for children to lie on o Practice First Aid box including bandages, dressings (or clean cloths/towels for improvisation), plasters and disposable gloves. o Resuscitation training model * o Mediwipes (for cleaning the model) o Face Shields for each pupil * Please note that in many circumstances, you can borrow a resuscitation model from your local St John division
